Study Overview
We use the CytoFLEX SRT cell sorter made by Beckman Coulter.
A cell sorter is a machine that can find and separate specific types of cells from a mixture of many cells. The separated cells can then be studied further or grown again in culture.
We separate rare cells found in blood and tissue samples, and use these cells for different types of cell testing.
We also use the CytoFLEX S flow cytometer for cell analysis.
This machine works together with the CytoFLEX SRT and helps us identify the target cells before sorting them.
Equipment used

CytoFLEX SRT (Beckman Coulter)
Features of the CytoFLEX SRT
① Very sensitive detection for tests using multiple colors
② Can separate cells into four groups and use different sorting methods
③ High cell recovery and good cell condition after sorting
④ Can accurately collect cells and keep information about each collected cell
Analysis examples (T cell sorting using human whole blood)

Typical study examples
●Gene Introduction and Cell Sorting
When genes are added to cells, some cells take in the genes and some do not. By using a cell sorter together with fluorescent markers, we can separate only the cells that received the genes. This helps us perform more accurate studies.
●Single Cell Sorting
It is also possible to separate one cell at a time. At the same time, we can collect information about the features of each cell.
●Blood, Tissue, and Cancer Tissue
Blood, tissue, and cancer tissue contain many different kinds of cells. Using a cell sorter, we can separate only the target cells we want to study. These isolated cells can then be used for many different types of research and testing.
*Studies will be mainly conducted by those with doctoral degrees.
