siRNA-mediated gene knockdown evaluation study

Study Overview

In recent years, gene expression suppression (knockdown) technology using siRNA has been applied in a variety of fields, including cancer and disease gene screening and nucleic acid medicine. We will knockdown various genes using cells according to your request. We can also handle requests for an integrated service, including cell-based assays using knockdown cells.

Principle of siRNA-mediated knockdown

When double-stranded siRNA is introduced into cells, one strand (single-stranded RNA) forms a RISC complex with the Argonaute protein. This RISC complex degrades the mRNA of the target gene, resulting in gene knockdown. The single-stranded RNA incorporated into the RISC complex acts as a guide for mRNA with a complementary sequence.

*Studies will be mainly conducted by those with doctoral degrees.
