Muscle enhancement study using myoblasts

Study Overview

During the muscle differentiation process, undifferentiated myoblasts fuse and differentiate into multinucleated myotube cells. Muscle fibers with contractile capacity are then formed from mature myotube cells, completing the muscle. Furthermore, since muscle mass decreases with age, maintaining muscle mass is also important from an anti-aging perspective.

This study will evaluate the muscle mass increase and maintenance effects of the test substance.

Study example

Basic Experimental design

Cells usedMouse myoblast cell lines C2C12, L6 cells, normal human myoblasts, etc.
Measurement itemsMyosin heavy chain (MHC) staining
Multinucleation quantification
Myotube differentiation rate quantitative imaging analysis (using high-content analysis equipment)

*Studies will be mainly conducted by those with doctoral degrees.
