Cell proliferation inhibition study (anti-cancer activity evaluation)

Study Overview

Because cancer cells possess the ability to multiply indefinitely, the primary objective of cancer treatment is to effectively suppress their rapid proliferation. By evaluating substances that are capable of suppressing tumor cells, new treatments for cancers can be identified.

This study involves evaluating substances that may be able to inhibit the proliferation of cellular growth, particularly in cancer cell lines. By identifying novel compounds that can inhibit cancer growth, new anti-cancer treatments can be developed. We are able to provide high-throughput screening of potential anti-cancer drugs across various cell lines of your choice, or those commercially available. If you are unsure which cell line you would like to use, we are available for a discussion and can propose a suitable cell line for the tissue that you are interested in. Since we have extensive experience with culturing a variety of cancer cells, we are confident in working with almost all cancer cell lines.

In addition, if the compound is confirmed to be able to inhibit cell proliferation, we are able to perform additional studies to determine the mechanism of action. Examples of these additional studies include caspase 3/7 activation for evaluating apoptosis using our imaging equipment such as Operetta CLS or Opera Phenix Plus
