During the wound healing process, angiogenesis is necessary to supply nutrients to damaged tissue. Promoting angiogenesis serves to accelerate natural wound healing.
Additionally, angiogenesis has been implicated in the proliferation and progression of cancer cells. In the field of oncology, anti-angiogenic drugs are gaining attention and are actively being developed.
