Study Overview
Adipogenesis is the process of cells differentiating from preadipocytes into adipocytes. During this process, preadipocytes accumulate fat within the cells. Substances capable of inhibiting adipogenesis are of interest as anti-obesity drugs or functional foods. This assay is designed to evaluate substances that are capable of inhibiting adipogenesis.
