Anti-coronavirus activity evaluation study

Study Overview

SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), infects human cells by binding to ACE2 expressed in cells via the spike protein (S protein) on the viral surface.

In this study, the anti-coronavirus effect of the test substance will be verified using a pseudovirus containing the SARS-CoV-2 S protein and ACE2-expressing cells. Evaluation against mutant strains such as the Omicron strain is also possible.
