ACEL, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “our company”) is primarily engaged in the provision of contract cell testing services. We have established the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as “this policy”) regarding the handling of user information, including personal information, in the services we provide (hereinafter referred to as “our service”).

Privacy Policy

1. User information to be collected and collection method

In this policy, “user information” means information related to the identification of users, behavioral history on communication services, and other information generated or accumulated in relation to users or their devices, which is collected by our company in accordance with this policy. ・Cookies, ADID, IDFA, and Other Identifiers

2. Purpose of use

The specific purposes for which user information is used in connection with the provision of our service are as follows:

(1) To provide services to users who have applied for our service
(2) To measure and analyze our service’s performance and effectiveness in order to improve it
(3) To deliver, display, and measure the effectiveness of advertisements for our service
(4) To respond to emails, announcements, inquiries, etc. related to our service

3. Methods of notification, disclosure, or obtaining consent, and method of requesting suspension of use

Users may request that the collection or use of all or part of their user information be suspended by configuring the prescribed settings of our service. Upon receiving such a request, we will promptly suspend the use of such information in accordance with our company’s regulations.

5. Third-party provision

Our company will not provide personal information to third parties without the user’s prior consent. However, this does not apply if we determine that providing such information to a third party is necessary in the following cases:

(1) When our company outsource all or part of the handling of personal information to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use.
(2) When personal information is provided to a partner or information collection module provider in accordance with Section 4.

6. Safety Management Measures

In order to prevent and correct unauthorized access to personal information, as well as the leakage, loss, or damage of personal information, our company have established internal regulations and are working to implement safety measures. To achieve the above goals, our company have taken the following measures.

①Formulating a basic policy for implementing each response required by laws, regulations, and guidelines for the proper handling of personal information and personal data.

②Formulating various regulations defining each response, including acquisition, use, storage, provision, deletion, and disposal, as well as the responsible person and their roles.

③Organizational security control measures, such as appointing a responsible person, clarifying the scope of employees who handle personal data and the personal data handled, establishing a reporting and communication system to the responsible person in the event of any violations of laws and regulations or signs of violations, and regular inspections of the handling status.

⑥Technical security control measures, such as implementing systems to protect information systems that handle personal data from unauthorized external access or malware.

7. Joint use


Our company will jointly use users’ personal information as follows.

8. Disclosure of Personal Information

When a user requests disclosure of personal information pursuant to the Personal Information Protection Act, our company will disclose the information to the user without delay after confirming that the request is from the user himself/herself. (If the personal information in question does not exist, we will notify the user.) However, this does not apply if our company are not obligated to disclose the information under the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations. Please note that a fee (1,000 yen per request) will be charged for the disclosure of personal information.

9. Correction and suspension of use of personal information

(1) If a user requests our company to (i) correct the content of personal information pursuant to the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Act because the information is not true, or (ii) suspend the use of such information pursuant to the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Act because the information is being handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use previously announced or because it has been collected by false or other illicit means, our company will confirm that the request is from the user himself/herself and conduct any necessary investigation without delay, and based on the results, our company will correct the content of the personal information or suspend the use of the personal information and notify the user to that effect. If our company decide not to correct or suspend the use of the personal information, we will notify the user to that effect.

(2) If a user requests the deletion of their personal information, and if our company determines that it is necessary to comply with the request, our company will delete the personal information after confirming that the request came from the user himself/herself, and notify the user of this fact.

(3) If our company is not obligated to make corrections, etc. or suspend use, etc. under the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations, the provisions of 8 shall not apply.

11. Procedure for Privacy Policy Changes

Our company will change this policy as necessary. However, if changes to this policy are made in a way that requires user consent under law, the revised policy will only apply to users who consent to the changes in the manner prescribed by our company. If we change this policy, our company will notify users of the effective date and content of the revised policy by displaying it on our website or by other appropriate means.
