siRNA-mediated gene knockdown evaluation study

Study Overview

Small interfering RNA (siRNA) is a class of double-stranded, non-coding RNA molecules silence specific genes by degrading complementary mRNA via the RNA interference (RNAi) pathway. Utilizing this advanced gene expression suppression (knockdown) technology, which is widely applied in cancer research, disease screening, and nucleic acid medicine, we offer custom gene knockdown services in various cell lines tailored to your requests.

Principle of siRNA-mediated knockdown

When double-stranded siRNA is introduced into cells, one strand (single-stranded RNA) binds with the Argonaute protein to form a RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC). This single-stranded RNA acts as a guide, directing the RISC to complementary mRNA sequences. The complex then degrades the target mRNA, resulting in gene knockdown.
