Study Overview
The nervous system is made up of neurons and glial cells. Neurotrophic factors such as NGF and BDNF, which are produced by glial cells, have been reported to play a vital role in the differentiation, regeneration, and maintenance of neurons, and substances that promote the production of neurotrophic factors may be effective in improving neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease.
In this study, glial cells will be used to verify the test substance’s ability to promote the production of neurotrophic factors such as NGF.
