Study Overview
This assay evaluates substances that are able to improve neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s Disease and Parkinson’s Disease. By measuring neurite outgrowth in response to a test substance, or protection against neurodegenerative factors such as amyloid-beta or oxidative stress, we are able to determine if these substances are neuroregenerative or neuroprotective. We are able to perform this in a high-throughput and accurate manner using high-content screening equipment such as Operetta CLS and Opera Phenix Plus.
